The brief was to create a second dining area at a lower level in this steeply sloping garden. We built timber steps down to a new lawn level deck which was wrapped around with tropical planting to create a sense of seclusion and privacy. A natural slate water feature enhances the sense of calm. Spotlights in the deck and the surrounding planting make the garden perfect for evening entertaining. The elegant grasses planted along the sunny edge of the deck mean the garden is full of interest for much of the year.
